Sodalite is a beautiful blue mineral with white and / or orange calcite veins. The name Sodalite is derived from 'Soda' or Sodium, where the mineral is rich. Sodalite is quite similar to Lapis Lazuli, although the color is slightly less deep blue and there is no pyrite in it. Sodalite is a lot more affordable than Lapis, however!
