Massive meteorite impact in Kazakhstan
Irghizite was created by a large meteorite impact in present-day Kazakhstan around 900,000 years ago. This gigantic meteorite left a crater of no less than 14 kilometres in diameter on Earth. It is believed that the meteorite was large enough to cause a global winter lasting for many years. Irghizite remained after the impact as terrestrial sand and parts of the meteorite fused together due to the enormous heat and pressure. This impact glass is called a tektite.
Highly detailed tektite
Irghizite is the most detailed tektite known on Earth. Pieces found consist of fused wires and drops with beautiful swirls of very pure black glass. On the surface, small round spheres are often visible. This indicates that during the impact a mist of miniscule glass droplets was released, which was recorded in the Irghizite as a time capsule.
Energetic effect
Besides the general properties of tektite (high energy with a strong connection to the cosmos) Irghizite also has a special connection to the earth and our heart centre. It also works on the Solar Plexus, whereas for example moldavite affects the heart and upper chakras and indochinite affects the Root and lower chakras, irghizite focuses its attention on the central area of the body.
