Hematite phantom quartz
This spectacular red hematite phantom quartz is a new find from India. The crystals are mostly clear with hematite phantom inclusions. It seems that the hematite was not present in the beginning of the crystal growth. During the growth of the quartz crystal, a layer of haematite was deposited, after which the crystal continued to grow with clarity. The result is a beautiful red phantom.
