The lilac mica
Lepidolite is a mica mineral and is known for its lilac-grey to pink color. It is formed in volcanic rock, usually granite, and contains a large amount of lithium. Lepidolite is therefore sometimes called lithium glimmer. In crystal form, this mineral shines beautifully.
Namegiving of Lepidolite
The name lepidolite comes from Greek and literally means 'scaly stone'. The name is derived from the words: 'lepidon' and 'lithos' which means 'scale' and 'stone'. Before lepidolite got its name it was called lilalith named after the typical lilac color of this mineral.
Working of Lepidolite
Lepidolite contains a lot of lithium. This is used in medical science as a medicine against anxiety and as a mood stabilizer. Lepidolite has this effect naturally and promotes a feeling of peace and quiet in times of stress and chaos and dissolves energy blockages.
