Product description

Bigger than the T-Rex

Not many carnivorous dinosaurs are known to have been larger than the American Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Carcharodontosaurus was about 2 meters longer and, like the T-rex, walked on its hind legs and had relatively small front legs. This Dino is also regularly referred to as the African T-rex.

serrated incisors

A striking feature of the teeth of the Carcharodontosaurus is the serrated and curved shape. That made it excellent for cutting, but not for cracking bones or holding prey for a long time. From this it is inferred that this hunter probably attacked its prey several times in succession to take it down.

Difference Between Spinosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus Teeth

The spinosaurus teeth are cylindrical and pointed. These were well suited to grab and hold their prey. The Carcharodontosaurus teeth, on the other hand, are slender, crooked and serrated for cutting and tearing pieces of their prey. Two successful but completely different methods of the largest land predators that ever existed!
