pineapple quartz

Candle quartz is a variety of quartz with a single main point surrounded by smaller grown crystals all pointing in the same direction. This crystal is also sometimes called pineapple quartz because of its resemblance to the top of a pineapple.

Naming

Due to the candle wax-like color and the small crystals around the main crystal, which are reminiscent of dripping candle wax from a freshly blown candle, this quartz gets its name. The color is milky white and the crystal is opaque.
